KAIM and Organization
The Journal of Kampo, Acupuncture, and Integrative Medicine has been designed to provide the latest research on theory, practice, and the integration of medical practice based on research from an international perspective. The areas of Kampo, acupuncture, and integrative medicine were chosen as the primary focal points based on the success experienced in Japan. At the same time, the editorial staff recognized the importance of Kampo, acupuncture, and integrative medicine worldwide.
The Executive Director, associate editors, editorial board and staff have extensive experience in health care delivery and are committed to providing information that is accurate and useful to the reader. Selection of articles by the editorial staff will be based on their currency, efficacy, and usefulness to the reader.
With this in mind, the journal will have thre special editions, the first on Kampo, followed by acupuncture, and then integrated medicine. Each of these will provide an extensive overview written by expereinced health care professionals. Following the development and distribution of these three landmark issues, the journal will become a quarterly journal focusing on topics related to all three areas.
A primary goal of the editorial board is to engage the medical community in a dialogue on the vast potential of Kampo, acupuncture and integrative medicine. From this effort, we hope to promote further research with the documentation of therapeutic measures, and report the results on a quarterly basis.
